Step 2:  Acquire the skills you need

For some job seekers, it may take training to turn that vision into reality.  Based on eligibility and individual circumstances, training opportunities might include:

  • Occupational skills training giving you the knowledge and know-how to enter the workforce in the profession you want
  • Computer training to close technology gaps and increase your odds of success
  • GED preparation to help you pass the high-school equivalency exam
  • Writing, math, and English (ESL) classes to improve your abilities
  • Job readiness certifications to make it easier for applicants to confirm their ability to work

If you have training or educational goals beyond these offerings listed, there may be scholarships and financial aid resources available to make furthering your learning an affordable option.
